CALMING THE CHAOS OF AGING
By Phyllis Slater

As an elder care concierge, my passion is to assist our adult children and aging parents with the process of preparing for their future. My projects are meant to enhance services offered to our community. I look forward to working with all our agencies and synagogues in the future.

FOR PEACE OF MIND

I assist and advice adult children and aging parents on the steps of preparing for their future. Using my “Calming the Chaos of Aging” handbook, we go step by step through the process. As an adult child, it is vital to plan for your future with legal, finance and long term care insurance support. Don’t use up the retirement fund on in-home care or care facilities. Medicare or Medicaid does not cover quality long-term care. As a senior, know what services are available to reduce the stress of caring for a loved one. Learn how to stay independent.

FOR YOUR SPIRIT

As an adult child, do you find it difficult to balance your time between work and caring for family and aging parents? As a senior, many of you have lost dear friends and will not see movies or have lunch alone. Some of you have no interest in the activities at our senior centers. To keep things simple pay your own way and have the option to attend at the last minute.

Services and events are a success because of those who participate on any level. This is your opportunity to meet others with the same interests and positive attitudes.

Get on the ground floor of a 55+ social support group. A schedule will be planned out and mailed to those who RSVP. If you are housebound, I still need your help. Please call me for more information.
