Welcome!
"Just Ask" was born in 1995. It is an educational and resource information television program dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for the disabled, elderly, caregivers and general public. "Just Ask" is geared toward supporting fundamental improvement of community organizations through the creation of partnerships between an active and informed public.
The original title for the show was "We Want to Know." (WWTK). This title was considered too long and perhaps too difficult to remember. So, the search for a new title began! The creator of the show, Marsha Florence, stumbled upon the title "Just Ask" when she was explaining to a close friend her frustration regarding other people's inability to address their concerns and questions about her disability when all they had to do was "Just Ask!" Marsha felt there was no need to guess about a person's disability, when you can "Just Ask!" them! Her simple, yet insightful response was transformed into the title and solidified the theme of the program.
In April 1998, The "Just Ask" Foundation, Inc. was established as a non-profit organization to firmly advocate for quality services for the disabled, elderly and general public. Over the past several years, "Just Ask" has successfully worked with and interviewed over 100 organizations throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties that support and provide services for individuals, families and caregivers in the area of health, education, technology, finance, legal rights and The Americans with Disabilities Act. We invite you to join us for a mutual sharing of information about our organization along with a mutually beneficial relationship.
