Dawn Lee-Cotton, Esq., Deputy Treasurer for Forfeiture and Foreclosure in the office of Wayne County Treasurer Eric Sabree, is joining us today. Mrs. Lee-Cotton works with taxpayers to reduce delinquent fees and prevent the foreclosure of owner-occupied homes for those who are three or more years behind in payments. The office offers various payment plans to assist individuals in need. Additionally, the Treasurer’s office collaborates with Lakeshore Legal Aid and the United Community Housing Coalition to help facilitate the process of transferring property into the names of family members.
