Ronald Taylor, President and CEO of the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, shared valuable insights today about the extensive supportive services provided by the agency. With two locations in Wayne County and a network of sixteen agencies across Michigan, the DAAA is dedicated to serving older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Detroit, the five Grosse Pointes, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, and Highland Park.
A crucial aspect of their mission is advocating for individuals to remain in their homes, allowing them to age gracefully while receiving the necessary assistance for their basic care needs. As a nonprofit organization, they strive to eliminate social, economic, physical, and psychological barriers, fostering aging-friendly neighborhoods through initiatives focused on nutrition, health and wellness, and promoting senior independence.
