Housing Issues with Ruth Johnson of CDAD

Ruth Johnson, Public Police Direct of (CDAD) Community Development Advocates of Detroit  a non-profit nonpartisan organization based in Detroit joins us today to discuss the Federal eviction moratorium that is no longer in affect which allows landlord to now file evection notices to their tenants for back pay.  Assistance is available  for tenants by contacting the (CERA) Covid Emergency Rental Assistant program that provides rental, utilities and internet assistance for tenants experincing difficulties in making payments.. Ruth Johnson, provides contact information for those needing help can go on line or call the available phone numbers.  Also,  the Detroit Right to Counsel is available to provide legal support for those tenants facing court proceedings.,  And  the Coalition  for Property Tax Justice  a list of community  education events to help people with emption eligibility questions and answers.
